Poster Tips

1) It is always a good idea to embed the fonts within the PDF document you create. If you do not, there is a danger that one or more of the fonts you have used will not be present on the printer's system, and in which case the font you chose will be replaced by a substitute, and that can mess up the layout of your poster.

2) Make sure the title and author's name are prominent and eye-catching.

3) Use graphs, tables, diagrams and images where appropriate. Use boxes to isolate and emphasize specific points.

4) Always follow the conference guidelines, which may be specific about what you are expected to present.

I got this poster from Google, I really like it because it is simple and clear. It also grabs the attention by making parts of the message bigger and more obvious.

PSA Experience

It took some effort to create this PSA. But all in all, it has been a great experience and I have learned a lot during this week. Like creating a blog and using My Movie Maker. It was been a really good experience that will certainly aid me in the future.

How to make a PSA

The article was useful in terms of giving me an idea of what a PSA is and what its purpose is. Also, the article gave me some confidence in my ability to make a PSA, because the article broke down the process of making one and made it very simple and kind of fun.

PSA video outline

I will probably do a video and put some animation in it. I will probably try to appeal to the current generation because they are the future. I will probably not put any statistics but that may change.

This PSA focuses on air pollution causes by automobile emissions. It shows that by involving a child that symbolizes the future. By showing that child inhaling smoke, their point becomes clear that air pollution is a major issue for this and the next generation.

This PSA is about the future of the people or the next generation, and their message is given by telling the viewers that they are the "Solar Generation".

Capstone Project Statement of Intent

1. The goals of my project is to show people that the future is around the corner and that Solar energy is the future.

2. It concerns everybody because the effects of global warming  are directly related to gasses that come out of cars everyday. These gasses are effecting our climate and drastically changing our environment.

3. I plan to become an engineer and create cars that run on environmentally friendly fuels, which is exactly the goal of my senior project.

4. My project can educate people about the effects of car emissions and if implemented, can create a better future for the next generation.

5. The Richland College triple bottom line is People, Economics, Environment. My project can help people realize the crisis the world is facing with declining fuel levels. It also affects the economy as the whole market is very sensitive to the rise and fall of oil and fuel prices. And lastly, the emissions from cars have already taken a toll on our environment, and the consequences are very apparent today. My project can help improve People, Economics, and Environment.
